The Friends of the Ottawa Public Library Association has made the difficult decision to close down our online bookstore. The announcement follows extensive internal deliberations and analysis of the online store’s financial and operational viability.

Notice to our customers:

• The last date to place an order online was December 31st, 2024.
• Kind Reads gift cards can be used for purchases at 100 Tallwood Drive during a monthly Mammoth sale or browsing appointment. To book a browsing appointment, call (613) 580-2424, extension 27875. A small browsing fee applies.
• All other areas of operation of FOPLA remain open and continue as usual. This includes our stores, self-serve shelves, Distribution Centre and monthly Mammoth sales.

We are deeply grateful for customer and volunteer support of Kind Reads over the years. Although we have shut the doors to our online store, we are excited to continue raising funds in support of the Ottawa Public Library through our used bookstores and sales across Ottawa.
