Love and Other Stories

David Drebin was born in Toronto, Canada, and has been based in New York City since his graduation from Parson School of Design in 1996. With a successful start in the commercial world, he led international ad campaigns for notable companies including American Express and Davidoff. His work also graced the pages of magazines such as Vanity Fair, Travel and Leisure, GQ, Elle, and Rolling Stone, among others.

"LOVE AND OTHER STORIES" highlights Drebin's staging expertise. Despite the complex emotions portrayed by his figures, there's an underlying sense of privacy and security. The viewer is left to wonder about the emotional origins of his female characters, capturing them in moments of apparent agitation. These images prompt viewers to weave their own narratives and embark on imaginative journeys, reminiscent of unseen scenes from films.
